Ellsworth Middle School Principal keeps on taking a new step as educator

Three years ago, Paul Uhren started participating in efforts to design a new middle school for the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau (GET) School District.

Uhren, who was the GET Middle School Principal at the time, didn't know then part of that process would preview his future as an educator. He and the other school officials charged with helping plan the design toured middle school facilities in three area districts to get input for their project. One of those districts was Ellsworth.

"I remember talking about the school here with Steve Broton," Uhren said Thursday, referring to the now-retired EMS Principal whom he succeeded this week.
