Ellsworth School Board okays pact with teachers' unit
The Ellsworth School Board has reached an agreement on salaries and benefits with the local teachers' union.
The agreement is for the last and present school terms (2009-10 and 2010-11), according to Superintendent Barry Cain. It calls for a 3.8 percent increase in salaries and benefits yearly for both terms.
However, salaries alone are increased by 1.16 percent for the '09-'10 term and decrease by .36 percent for the '10-'11 term.
