Sentiment by members of the Ellsworth Village Board and other village officials is leaning towards establishing a full-time chlorination process for the village's water suuply.

The latest discovery of more bacteria in the water supply forcing a large dosage of chlorine to kill it brought a discussion of making the process a permanent one similar to many communities in the area to the board's monthly meeting last week. In fact, Ellsworth is the only muncipality in Pierce County still not chloriating its water.

"Obviously we have to get cost and other estimates but I also think we're going to have to bite the bullet," Village President Gerald DeWolfe said. "We can't keep having these mass chlorinations and village residents will be even more inconvenienced if they have to boil their water to use it."
