ELMWOOD - Ellsworth High School's volleyball team downed Elmwood 3-0 in a non-conference match Tuesday.

The game scores were 25-13, 25-8, 25-20.

The Panthers dominated in the latter portions of Game 1 and all throughout Game 2. The Raiders played better in Game 3 and led for a bit before Ellsworth surged past them.

Loralei Kuhl finished with six kills and four other players had five. Olivia Matzek finished with 30 assists.

Addy Welch led Elmwood with five kills while Emily Hoyt had seven assists and four aces.

Ellsworth improves to 2-5 overall and will host a triangular meet with Glenwood City and St. Croix Central Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m.  Elmwood, 1-3 overall, will be at Alma Thursday. Game time is at 7 p.m.
