ELMWOOD - The Elmwood High School girls basketball team won its first ballgame of the season Monday evening 37-27.

The Raiders, 1-10 overall, were able to break out from a slight 21-18 lead at the end of the third quarter by going on a 14-5 run in the fourth quarter led by Alysha Hoyt's eight points. She finished with 10 points and became the first Elmwood players this season to break into double figures.

Addie Morrell finished with eight points for the Raiders and teammate Kaitlyn Lee scored seven points.

Elmwood is at No. 3 ranked Colfax Thursday.
