Elmwood-PC track teams sweep all before them in Clear Lake
CLEAR LAKE - For the second meet in a row the Elmwood-Plum city boys' and girls track and field teams were double winners.
They both finished first in the Clear Lake Invitational held Tuesday.
The boys' team scored over 200 points and swept all four relay events. Gabe Rodriguez was a double winner for the Red Devils in the 200 and 400-meter dashes. Jaylen Case in the high jump, Nick Kernstock in the 110-meter high hurdles and Tim Talford in the 3200-meter run were also gold medalists.
E-PC's girls edged out the host Warriors for first 142-110. The Red Devils had five first place winners led by Jenna Reitz's pair of wins in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes, Becky Hartung's first in the 800 and the mile run along with a win in the 1600-meter relay in which both runners were a part of.
