Elsie Borst, 94
Elsie M. Borst, 94, of Plum City, passed away Wednesday, August 27, at Rolling Hills Nursing Home in Sparta, Wisconsin.
She was born August 7, 1920 to Joseph and Ida (Leist) Sanderson in Elroy, Wis. After graduating from Elroy High School in 1939, she worked for Oscar Mayer in Madison during World War II. Throughout the years she worked various places, but most enjoyed her working for MA Bell Telephone during the 1950's, and as a bookkeeper for Sears. Elsie was a social person in her younger days, with an enjoyment for card games. As she aged her love of cats grew, and they gave her a lot of enjoyment.
Elsie is survived by two daughters, Loretta "Lori" Olsen of Onalaska and Barbara Kasmiski of West Salem; son, Judd (Cheryl) Rux of Beaver Dam and foster child, Tracy Matzek of Spring Grove. She had seven grandchildren, Craig (Peg) Guse, Tracy Hays, Robyn (Lance) Loeffholz, Dawn (Shawn) Wood, Denice (Curt) Mack, Michael (Paul) Schwarz, Meggan (Dan) Baudek; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers and sisters; her husbands, Lawrence Olsen, Robert Rux, and Earl Borst; one grandchild, Steven Guse; and her son-in-law, Gene "Mac" Kasmiski.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 3, at Picha Funeral Home in Elroy. Burial will be in the Elroy City Cemetery.
