Several high-scoring games with high hit couts took place along with those that went well past nine innings of play.

Prescott handed Menomonie its first SCVL loss winning 5-3 in 14 innings at Wakanda Park Sunday.  In the top of the 14th, Ross hit a triple to centerfield that scored Austin Tulip and Ross himself scored on a wild pitch to put the Pirates up 5-3.  Menomonie put two on in the bottom half of the inning but winning pitcher Nick Johnson was able to induce a ground ball to third to end the game. Jim French and Mike Brookshaw both hit an RBI-singles in extra innings and Billy Brookshaw hit an RBI-sacrifice.

Bay City rallied to beat Ellsworth 10-9 in extra innings Sunday at Hortenbach Park in Bay City. The Bombers trailed 6-0 before Jordan Eggenberger crushed a 340-foot grand slam home run into leftfield in the bottom of the third. BC plated three more runs in the sixth to tie the game at 7-7. The game stayed tied until the 13th inning when the Bay City’s Dan Giese hit an RBI-single and Derek Ulvenes hit a sac-fly RBI to score Eric McGregor for the winning run. Justin Lance also homered for BC and the Bombers’ Travis Balster robbed the Hubbers’ J.P. Paulson of a home run by snagging a deep, 350-foot fly ball in centerfield over the fence after a well-timed leap. Scott DeWyre hit a two-RBI single for Ellsworth and teammates Brandon Voelker and Jake Betthauser also drove in runs.

In even more wild action in the SCVL this past weekend, Hager City rallied from an 8-0 deficit to beat the Plum City Blues 11-10 Saturday at Brown Field.

The Skeeters plated five runs in their last at bats to tie the game at 9-9 and scored two more in the 10th to win the contest. HC outscored the Blues 9-2 in the final three innings of the ballgame. Chandler Flynn and Bryan Early both had three hits each for HC and Ryan Christianson drove in three runs. Both teams combined for 34 hits, 17 apiece.  Darren Georgakas was the winning pitcher. He went six innings and struck out five batters.

SV held an 11-9 lead on Hudson in the eighth Saturday in Spring Valley but could not hold it as Hudson plated five runs in the inning. Valley's Ryan Stangl and Jordan Pellett both had two hits and teamed up for five RBI combined. The Hawks’ Zac Balsiger had five RBIs by his lonesome to go with his two hits, including a grand slam home run in the first inning. Pellett hit two doubles and Stangl also doubled.
