Farmers market returns to East Ellsworth in August

A new day for an old favorite, the Ellsworth Farmers Market, will be designated when the weekly event returns to East End Park later this summer.

The market will operate on Tuesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. beginning Aug. 3 and continuing through Sept. 28, according to Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce Assistant Laurel Cox. Depending on interest, the market may last beyond the end of September, Cox said Friday.

"Vendors have to register here at the chamber office," she said, referring to the chamber's recently relocated headquarters inside the upstairs of the M&I Bank building in the village's west business district. They can come there in person or call there at (715) 273-6442 to register, she added.
