Farmington children sickened after attending Camp Pepin
STOCKHOLM - School officials put the total number of children sickened last week at a YMCA camp in western Wisconsin at 53.
More than 50 children from a Farmington, Minnesota, elementary school became sick while visiting Camp Pepin near Stockholm Monday through Wednesday. A second group stayed only one day after two more children got sick with norovirus.
The camp has been given a complete cleaning. Medical personnel say norovirus is highly contagious, causing nausea and vomiting.
