Favre speaks about health and upcoming season
Vikings quarterback Brett Favre says he's not completely healthy but is working hard to get in shape with the NFL season less than two months away.
During a back-stage interview after last night's ESPY Awards show on ESPN, Favre says his left ankle is still giving him problems, two months after it was surgically repaired. Favre was hurt during last season and the injury became aggravated during the Vikings' loss at New Orleans in the NFC Championship game.
Favre last night received the play of the year ESPY Award for his last-second touchdown pass to Greg Lewis that beat San Francisco at the Metrodome.
In a recent interview with Men's Journal magazine, Favre lamented on his interception during the loss to the Saints and noted that playing another season won't make a difference to his health. That issue of Men's Journal comes out tomorrow.
