Fire kills animals at ranch in Knapp

KNAPP - Over 80 animals have died in a fire at a petting ranch and animal rescue facility near Knapp.

Owners of the Honey-Do Petting Ranch said the barns were on fire when they woke up early yesterday. Donita Paul said most of the animals at the facility were rescued from various situations.

Ponies, cats, goats, sheep, and pot-bellied pigs were among the animals that died. She said most of the larger horses and llamas escaped from the barns - and neighbors are now caring for them.
