Former Prescott teacher charged with sexual assault of child
A former female substitute teacher in the Prescott School District has been charged with one count of sexual assault of child under 16 years of age.
Anne M. Knopf, 38, N5820 950th St., Ellsworth, was charged Friday in Pierce County Circuit Court for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old boy. Her initial court appearance is scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 5
The incident stems back to May 17, when the victim's father became suspicious when his son took his mother's car and drove to Knopf's house. He confronted Knopf and asked if his son was inside her home, she replied no.
He was later discovered at the residence, but initially offered another excuse for his presence there. He then told Pierce County sheriff's deputies a second time that he was there as just friends and that he was only talking with Knopf.
