Garbage truck catches on fire
A Waste Management garbage truck caught fire in Hager City at about 12:15 p.m. today.
The truck was from Hastings and was passing through Hager City on 805th Street when the incident happened. An employee coming back to the Nestle Purina plant along 805th saw the truck in flames.
"So we called 911 being it's adjacent to our property," plant manager Kip Stevenson said.
Stevenson said the truck was hauling recycled materials. Nobody was injured as a result of the fire.
The Ellsworth Fire Department and Pierce County Sheriff's Department were both on scene.
No additional information was available.
