Gasteyer earns state FFA degree
ELMWOOD -- Brooke Gasteyer earned the highest degree the Wisconsin FFA Association bestows on its members.
Gasteyer served as the Elmwood Chapter President during 2008-2009 and has been active in many leadership activities at local, district, state and national levels. She organized the chapter's annual banquet, which celebrated "FFA at 80," developed FFA Week activities, participated in speaking events, served as delegate at the state convention in Madison, traveled to Indianapolis for the national convention, sold fruit, meat and cheese for the chapter's fundraiser, and participated in a variety of other activities.
On the farm, she has helped with calf raising, showed dairy cattle and managed her horse project.
"Brooke is the type of member who sees opportunities and wants to make the most of her time in the FFA organization" according to Advisor Jeff Pickerign.
Gasteyer will attend UW-River Falls, where she will major in horticulture.
