Gerald 'Bud' Falde, 79
Gerald 'Bud' Falde, age 79, of Woodville, Wisconsin, died Friday, June 20, at his home.
Bud was born on Nov. 18, 1934, the son of Frederick and Mabel (Wahl) Falde in St. Croix County, Wisconsin. He was baptized, confirmed, and a lifetime member of Gilman Lutheran Church. Bud attended Wildwood Grade School and Spring Valley High School.
On April 26, 1958, Bud married Laurel Ninneman at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Cady Township. After their marriage, Bud and Laurel lived on the family farm where he was born and raised. They also owned and operated the Spring Valley Mini-Storage. Upon retirement, they enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona.
Bud is survived by his wife, Laurel of Woodville; father to Paul (Kim) Falde, Kelly (Pam) Falde, Julianne (Don) Manteufel, and Brenda (Jack) Walkky; grandfather to Kristin (Christopher) Bates, Jenna Falde, Jessica (Ryan) Fritz, Dominic (Therese) Falde, Logan Falde, Jordan Walkky, Jack Walkky, and Luke Walkky; great-grandfather to Rylie Fritz, Kali Falde, Rachel Falde, Oliver Falde, and Olivia Bates; brother to Violet Lansing, Gordon (Vi) Falde, and Verlyn (Patricia) Falde; and brother- and sister-in-law, Jack and Barbara Mattison; as well as many other relatives and good friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Harlan; sisters-in-law, Jean Falde and Hollyce (Ninneman) Falde; and brothers-in-law, Earl Lansing and Charles Ninneman.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, June 23, at Keehr Funeral Home in Spring Valley and also for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, at Gilman Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, with Rev. D. Peter Friberg officiating. Burial will be in Gilman Lutheran Cemetery, Spring Valley.
