Girls Basketball Round-up: Plum City girls' hoops wins first game

SPRING VALLEY  - Plum City High School's girls basketball team won its first game of the regular season Friday 58-40 over Spring Valley.

The Blue Devils were back at full strength and at full strength against the Cardinals was Cheyanne Catura. The Dunn-St. Croix Conference's leading scorer poured in a game-high 27 points for the Blue Devils, 1-4 overall and 1-3 in the D-SC.  Emily Boisen led Spring Valley with season-high 20 points.

Also in D-SC action from last evening, St. Croix Central won at home over Elmwood 51-14.

Another Pierce County team finally breaking into the win column was Prescott. The Cardinals topped Osceola 37-26 at home.
