Giving back to the community

Last week, the American Legion Auxiliary held their sole fundraiser using the Coke wagon at Nilssen’s Foods to sell bratwursts, hot dogs, chips, pop and water. The auxiliary is one of many non-profit organizations, including DARE, Cub Scouts, Masons and St. Francis and English Lutheran churches, which have benefited from Nilssen’s wagon. “We strongly believe in giving back to the community,” said Ron Gafner, Store Manager. “The community has been good to us and it's our way of saying thanks.” The store also uses its "Round Up" program at the cash register to give back to the Ellsworth Fire Department, Pierce County Food Pantry and the Ellsworth Ambulance Department, to name a few.
