Couple's perfect blend of creativity for tour
By Bill Kirk
HAGER CITY--Just as David Husom explained the word "photographics" in the name of his and wife Ann-Marie Rose's business as a blend of photography and graphics, so too is the couple a blend of creative talents.
His photos are described as documenting small-town Minnesota and Wisconsin, particularly the Mississippi River Valley. His large format color photos have been exhibited widely across the U.S., including at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles in October of 2006.
Meantime, her work is created on computers using her own photos and scanned objects, according to a description. She uses digital imaging because it offers a more intimate and complex relationship with her images, which have been exhibited in museums and galleries both locally and internationally.
Saturday and Sunday, April 28 and 29, people participating in the Studio Ramble art tour will be able to decide about the creativity of the pair for themselves because Husom and Rose Photographics in Hager City is among the tour sites.
