Hazel E. Erlandson, 84
Hazel E. Erlandson, age 84, of Regina Assisted Living in Hastings, formerly of Prescott, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Regina Hospital, Hastings, Minn., surrounded by her loving family.
Hazel was born in Maiden Rock Township, Wis., on Jan. 28, 1930, to Henry "Pete" and Zilphia "Pearl" (Baker) Arnold.
She married Lawrence Gilbertson in 1953. He passed away in 1959. In 1960, she married Laurence Erlandson at the Little Brown Church, in Nashua, Iowa. He also preceded her in death in 2011.
Hazel held various jobs throughout her life, but none more important than the roles of wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, which she loved. She was also an avid Packer and Twins fan and enjoyed playing bingo with her assisted living friends.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, Lawrence Gilbertson and Laurence Erlandson; her parents; brother, William and sister, Effie Books.
Hazel is survived by her children, Debra Foster, Cindy Gilbertson, Sandy Fuchs, and Larry (Stacey) Erlandson; grandchildren, Alicia McKellips, Ryan Foster, Cara Tweed, Kyla McHenry, Brandon Gilbertson, Janna Erlandson, Kelsey Lewis, and Callie Gilbertson; and great-grandchildren, Gregory and Taylor McKellips, Ava and Owen Foster, Jasiah Tweed, and Madeline McHenry; as well as her brother, Millard Arnold.
Services for Hazel will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Joy Lutheran Church, Prescott, Wis. Burial will be in the Maiden Rock Cemetery, Maiden Rock, Wis. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
