Herold's back, this time director of ambulance unit
By Bill Kirk
A former paid-on-call member of the Ellsworth Ambulance Service is returning, this time as director.
Kris Herold will fill the position most recently held by Interim Director Dan Morth. Herold's been with three other ambulance services during his health care career, aside from the duty he served locally a couple of years ago.
"I enjoyed the people here," he said Thursday. "When I left, I had gone back to college and something had to give," he added, explaining the work load between his regular ambulance job and the schooling had gotten to be too much.
