His government, then God called Witucki

It was while Father Roy Witucki was previously in government service that a couple of events in his life led him to the priesthood.
Working for the inspector general's office in Atlanta, he began listening to evangelicals there, Witucki said Wednesday. And when he was offered an "early out" of his job at age 52, he accepted it--on the last day.
"I'd been away from God for 30 years," he said.
Back at his home near Athens, he offered himself to the Lord, he said. Approximately a year would pass before he'd learn that meant entering the priesthood.
"It was a bit of a shock at first--I hadn't thought of that," said the new priest for St. Francis Parish in Ellsworth, who last month succeeded the retiring Father Tom Donaldson.
