Hubbers drop 11-8 contest to River Falls


The Ellsworth Hubbers baseball team lost 11-8 to River Falls Wednesday evening at Summit Park.

T.J. Wink was the winning pitcher and the Fighting Fish got three hits apiece from Brian Giebel, Kyle Westhuis, and Adam Stuessel. RF stayed unbeaten in the St. Croix Valley League at 5-0.


The Hubs' drop to 3-2 in the St. Croix Valley League. They host the St. Paul Mudhens Friday and are at New Richmond on Saturday. Both game begin at 7:30 p.m. New player Evan Bayer will be making his debut with the Hubs' this weekend.

Also this weekend River Falls will dedicate its new stadium in Hoffman Park with an SCVL game Saturday vs. Hager City. First pitch is at 7 p.m.
