Hudson man found dead in the Red Cedar River
HUDSON, Wis. -- The body of a missing Hudson man was found Thursday in the Red Cedar River, the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Joseph Albert Briske, 45, left his residence early Monday without explanation. His car was located on Interstate 94 east of Menomonie about 7 that morning by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The Menomonie police and fire departments, along with the Dunn County Sheriff’s Department, searched the land and water near where the car was found and discovered his body Thursday.
Menomonie police and the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Briske's disappearance and death.
