A male Plott hound was attacked by grey wolves on Aug. 15 near Neillsville. Officials said three wolf packs have been connected with the killings of hunting dogs this year in Clark County alone.

Similar incidents have taken place in other parts of north central Wisconsin.

The Department of Natural Resources says hunters should have their dogs on leashes, or at least keep a close eye on them in places where aggressive wolves have been roaming.
