James "Jim" Koehler, 64
James "Jim" T. Koehler, 64, of Ellsworth, died Feb. 22, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.
Jim was born on May 16, 1949, to Fredrick and Ruth Mary (McHattie) Koehler in Woodbury, Minn.
Jim had entered into the Navy, stationed in San Diego, Calif., and was honorably discharged in 1969. He worked at numerous places as a laborer throughout his life.
He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, playing with his cat Gizmo, mowing his lawn, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends.
Jim is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Alan) Windsor, and Jessica (David) Townsend; five grandchildren, Vanessa, Brett, Angela, Allora, and Isaiah; two brothers, Fred (Peggy) Koehler, and David (Maryellen) Koehler; two sisters, Bonnie (Roger) DeLong, and Dorothy VanSchoonhoven; sister-in-law, Penny Koehler; many nieces; nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ruth Koehler; three brothers, Donald "Donnie" Koehler, William "Bill" Koehler and Kenneth "Mike" Koehler; and two nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, at English Lutheran Church. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, at Hill Funeral Home in Ellsworth, and again from 12 p.m. until the time of service on Friday, at the Church.
