John A. Binkowski, 81
John A. Binkowski, age 81 of Plum City, died Friday, June 27, at his home in Plum City.
John was born on February 16, 1933 in Plum City. He was the son of Albert and Helen (Studer) Binkowski Sr. John grew up in the Plum City area, graduated high school and farmed with his dad on the family farm.
John married Connie Ingli on September 14, 1957. After marriage they lived in the Plum City area where John continued to farm for 25 years. In 1981, John bought a milk route and operated it until 1995. After hauling milk, John worked for Boyer Trucks delivering and picking up trucks all over the country until retiring in 2008. John and Connie moved into the Village of Plum City in 1993, where he remained the rest of his life.
John liked playing cards, crossword puzzles, going to the casino, fishing, going to dances and was a train enthusiast. He and Connie loved to travel, taking trips to Alaska, Hawaii. Most of all, John loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
John is survived by his son, Corey (Amanda) of Plum City; three grandchildren, Zachary of Plum City, Hayley (Brandyn) Seipel of Mesa, Ariz. and Paige at home; one brother, Dale (Lorelee) of Menomonie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Connie, daughter-in-law; Sandy, one brother; Albert Jr. and one sister; Audrey Binkowski.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 7, at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand with Rev. Eric Linzmaier officiating. Burial will be in the Free Home Cemetery in Plum City. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday.
