Joseph Kittilson, 100

Joseph Cornelius Kittilson, age 100, of Prescott, died Tuesday, July 9, at the Prescott Nursing and Rehab.

He was born on May 6, 1913, to John and Anne (Tolofson) Kittilson in Gilman Township, Wis.

Joe was mayor and a councilman in Prescott, was on the county board, and enjoyed serving his community. In the course of his life, he was a farmer, mechanic, and business man. He was owner/operator of St. Croix Boat Works until 1976.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Arlene (Halley); daughter Elaine; two grandsons; and 12 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his children Bruce, Gene, Joan, and Steve; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A funeral service for Joseph was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at the Prescott United Church of Christ. Visitation was for 2 hours prior to the service at the church. Burial was to be held at a later date at Pine Glen Cemetery in Prescott.
