Kenneth L. Knutson, 88
Kenneth L. Knutson, age 88, of Beldenville, Wis., died Monday, April 21, at his home in Martell Township.
Kenneth was born Jan. 15, 1926, the son of Adolph and Alma (Olson) Knutson in Martell Township. He grew up on the family farm in Martell and attended Ellsworth High School. He graduated in 1944. Kenneth spent his entire life on the farm. He was a longtime member of Rush River Lutheran Church and had served on the Martell Town Planning Committee. He loved his family, the farm, fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Bertten Knutson and his wife Grace, Vernon Knutson and his wife Helen, and Arnold Knutson and his wife Iola; and brother-in-law, James Reische.
Survivors include his wife Lorice of Martell; 3 sons: Daniel Knutson, Larry (Karen) Knutson, and Gordon (Pam) Knutson, all of Martell; four grandchildren: Zachary, Christopher and Julie Knutson; and Conrad Knutson; two great-grandchildren: Levi Knutson and Abby McDaniels; brother, Glenn (Doris) Knutson of Martell; sister-in-law, Dorothy Reische of White Bear Lake, Minn.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Thursday, April 24, from 4-8 p.m. at Rush River Lutheran and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Funeral service was at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at Rush River Lutheran Church, rural River Falls, with Rev. Jeanne Warner and Rev. Rodney Wicklund officiating. Pianist was Mariah Williamson. Vocalist was Julie Knutson. Burial was in Martell Lutheran Cemetery, Martell Township, Wis.
Pallbearers were Tom Knutson, Jim Knutson, Kevin Knutson, Jerry Knutson, Gary Knutson, Brian Kelley, Luke Hayes, Steve Johnson, and Wayne Peterson.
