Kenseth looking to rebound after poor showing in first Chase race
LOUDON, N.H. - Matt Kenseth of Cambridge will try to bounce back on Sunday, when NASCAR's Chase-for-the-Sprint Cup enters its second week.
The 10-race series visits the New Hampshire International Speedway for Sunday's running of the Sylvania-300. Kenseth fell from eighth place to 11th in the Chase standings, after a shock absorber fell from his vehicle late in last weekend's race. The top-12 drivers in the standings are the only ones eligible to compete for the Sprint Cup Championship, which Kenseth won in 2003.
Meanwhile, NASCAR's two other circuits are in Sparta, Kentucky. The Camping World Truck Series will race tonight in the Kentucky 201. Johnny Sauter of Necedah, who's 12th in the series' point standings, is entered for this evening. Tomorrow, the Nationwide Series will race at the Kentucky Speedway in the Kentucky 300. That includes Beloit-born Danica Patrick, who's 11th in the Nationwide standings.
