Kenseth, NASCAR drivers in Dover for third race of Cup Chase
DOVER, Del. - Race No. 3 in NASCAR's Chase-for-the-Sprint Cup takes place this weekend in Dover. And Matt Kenseth of Cambridge will try to move up from his No. 11 spot in the standings.
He's still 35 points behind first-place Jimmie Johnson in the Chase point totals. Qualifying takes place tomorrow for the Triple-"A"-400 on Sunday. Kenseth is the only Wisconsin driver still in the running for the Sprint Cup title. Three other Wisconsin drivers are entered for points and-or cash. They are Paul Menard of Eau Claire, Beloit-born Danica Patrick, Kelly Bires of Mauston, and Travis Kvapil of Janesville.
Patrick, Bires, and Menard are also entered in the Nationwide Series' One-Main-Financial-200 tomorrow at the Dover International Speedway. Patrick is 11th in the Nationwide point standings. The Camping World Truck Series is in Las Vegas for the Smith's-350 tomorrow. Qualifying is scheduled for later today. Johnny Sauter of Necedah is among those entered. He's 11th in the truck standings.
