Kosin to be named to new Hall of Fame
PRESCOTT - The late Jaci Kosin will be a part of the second inductee class to the new Wisconsin Association of Cheer and Pom Coaches Hall of Fame.
Kosin, who was Prescott High School’s first dance team coach, will be inducted in a ceremony to be held on Nov. 9 at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay.
Kosin started the team in 1994 and built the Prescott dance program into a state powerhouse. From their first back-to-back titles in 1996 and 1997, Kosin’s Cardinal squads won state championships from 1999-2005. PHS currently has a streak of 14 titles in a row. Kosin was named state coach of the year in 2005.
Kosin passed away due to cancer in October of 2005. In her memory, WACPC named its sportsmanship award after her. There are also several memorials to her at Prescott High School.
