TO THE EDITOR:
Energy efficiency directly affects all of us, from when we pay our utilities to how comfortable we can afford to keep our residences in summer and winter.
On June 20, UW-Extension is presenting a program titled "Dollars and Sense" from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Seyforth building on the County Fairgrounds in Ellsworth. This program will address how to save money, as well as how to qualify for direct federal payments for energy efficiency projects.
The federal payments are intended to encourage more Americans to invest in our community through local businesses while saving money every month through lower utility bills. The collective impact of many Americans investing in energy efficiency will make our economy more secure and create local jobs.
