TO THE EDITOR: Have you heard both parties complaining that campaign promises were broken?

In defense of the president, I have to think that many were not hearing what was said. Remember "Joe the plumber"? Candidate Obama told Joe "It's not that I want to punish your success; I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you that they've got a chance to success, too. I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

He said "behind you," which indicates class. Everybody knows that the new president has classified all of us, one way or another, except as equal, defined by the founders.

"Spread the wealth"? He supported TARP, spreading the wealth from Main Street to Wall Street. He gave us stimulus, which spread the wealth from small (job creating) businesses, to large union corporations.

The payback of the borrowed funds is being redistributed from paying down the debt, to reserves for spending during an election year, at the sole discretion of the President and Treasury Secretary. Unfunded liabilities like Social Security and Medicare are ignored to spread thousands of earmarks, like bike racks in D.C. and other ridiculous pork.

Finally, we can stop hearing about Iraq since our wealth will now be spread to Afghanistan. A wealth of jobs have been redistributed from private to government employment, which we learned recently, pay handsomely.

If the Democrats can get it done for the president, we can expect a redistribution of healthcare, from the elderly, who need it, to the young, and illegal that doesn't. And don't fret about those "inconvenient emails" exposing a manipulating of scientific data. As soon as possible, we will have carbon taxes in place to "spread the wealth around" from the wealthier nations, to those "behind you" because "it's good for everyone."
