Letter: Protestors will join with union workers to recall Walker, he says

Email

TO THE EDITOR: Others from my generation are emotionally transposing their personal experiences onto the "Occupy" movement, with nostalgic reflection.

They imagine that this is a current day version of the 60's protests, complete with musicians David Crosby and Graham Nash. What happened to "civil" disobedience with a "peace" and "love" message? I was there in the 60's and this is different.

Van Jones, previously an Obama Czar and avowed Communist, lives in Oakland, Calif. He has declared that Oakland will become "The capital of the Occupy movement."

Recently, the Oakland mayor ordered the local police force to clear the protestors from the park. In the process, an Iraq war veteran was hit with something and knocked out. The response from protestors and the liberal media was outrage, so the mayor appeased the protestors by inviting them back into the park. She expressed support for their cause and ordered a "minimum" police presence.

Appeasement always emboldens, so they rioted by damaging private property and even closed down the port. In a letter to the mayor, which was made public, the police force expressed "confusion" at the mayor's actions.

The attack on 9/11 produced a response of united patriotism and an appreciation of our police and firefighter "heroes." A decade later, the police, who are also in that "99 percent" wealth category, find themselves under attack by vengeful protestors.

Among those stating support for the Occupy protestors are The Communist Party USA, The American Nazi Party, Revolutionary Communist Party, Black Panthers, Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan, and CAIR, Iran's Supreme Leader the Ayatollah Khamenei, Revolutionary Guards of Iran, Hugo Chavez, Hezbollah, The Government of North Korea, The Communist Party of China, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and Barak Hussein Obama.

They will pool resources with the public worker unions in Wisconsin to recall Gov. Scott Walker.
