Letter: She fears children, grandchildren could lose in recessionary 'chess game'
TO THE EDITOR: It is unfortunate that our children and grandchildren could lose in the recessionary game of chess being played by Gov. Walker and local groups such as concerned citizens.
Our children and grandchildren have been provided with excellent educations. They have also been provided with lunches, transportation to school and excellent maintenance of buildings past their prime.
Regardless of the losses of income to our public schools, educators will try to provide the best education possible. That is their ethic.
In honor of all educators and public staff who have served my children and grandchildren, I am proud that I voted "Yes" on April 5 for the school referendum.
