Letter: She pays tribute to co-workers on ambulance service

May 17 through 23 is National Emergency Services Week and I am writing to pay tribute to my co-workers on the Elmwood Area Ambulance Service.

Most of us have a spouse, job or jobs, kids and even grandkids that keep us all on the go every day. Even so, every one of us is ready to drop whatever we are doing at a moment's notice and answer the call for help 365/24/7.

We also train continuously to keep our skill levels up and take any classes that are offered to learn new skills so we can give you the best care possible.

I would also like to commend our families who put up with us. They all understand how much this job means to us. We do hear a lot of positive words from people in our community and know we are appreciated.

I think you will not find a more dedicated bunch of EMTs anywhere in Pierce County.
