TO THE EDITOR: According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the National Snow and Ice Data Center, the Antarctic has 90 percent of the world's sea ice and had the most ice ever recorded at the end of 2008.
Also according to NASA, the warmest years in the United States since 1900 are as follows: 1934, 1998, 1921, 1906, 1931, 1999, 1953, 1990, 1938 and 1939.
The year of the record-high continental temperatures are as follows: Europe 1881, Australia 1889, South America 1905, North America 1913, Africa 1922, Asia 1942, Antarctica 1974. I suppose some people consider NASA and the NSIDC to be pathetic organizations if they present facts that do not support their radical agenda.
So the next time some "warmer" tries to give you some "Gore bull," please ask these five questions: Why are there more polar bears today than ever before? Why did global temperatures decline from 1945 through 1979, even though the rapid industrial expansion caused massive increases of C02 production throughout the world? Why were the 1930's the warmest decade? Why are scientists throughout the world fleeing the man-made global warming bandwagon? Why do 1,000 out of 1,000 solar scientists agree that 99 percent of the change in global temperatures is driven by solar activity?
As the dumbfounded "warmer" stares at you with that vacant look in his eyes and his mouth wide open, he will eventually say, "That isn't fair, you are using facts and all I have is this list of old left wing talking points 1 was told to use." Then you can ask the "warmer" this question. "Who will be the last person to leave the global warming bandwagon? Will it be Al, the Divinity School dropout from Tennessee, or Ronny, the discount carbon credit salesman from Prescott?
