Letter: Young candidate opposes councilman seeking youth, he says
TO THE EDITOR:
Younger is better.
Months ago, a perennial Prescott City Councilman of age pled publicly for younger people to run for council in our Spring Elections, April 7.
Young James O'Brien, whose family has been in politics, answered the bell and is running for office. Funny thing, he's running against the incumbent who's seeking younger players. Poetic justice?
Meanwhile, the nervous elder suddenly parks a huge red truck pasted with his name, soliciting votes and creating a corner sight hazard at Broad and Cherry street's entry to the city. Go figure.
