Locations announced for expanded H1N1 clinics

Pierce County Public Health Director Sue Galoff announced the H1N1 targeted groups eligible to receive vaccine have been expanded to include:

  • All persons age 6 months through 24 years
  • Pregnant women
  • Persons living with or caring for infants under 6 months of age
  • Healthcare and emergency workers, and
  • Persons aged 25 through 64 years with medical conditions that may put them at higher risk from influenza complications.

    Walk in immunization clinic opportunities will be held on:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 1 from 3-5 p.m. at the Pierce County Reproductive Health Office, 174 S. Riverwalk (lower level of Edina Realty Building) in River Falls.
  • Thursday, Dec. 10 from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Plum City PH Office,408 Main St. in Plum City.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 30 from 4-6 p.m. at the Pierce County Public Health Office, 412 W. Kinne St., in Ellsworth.

    Intake appointments can be made for Monday, Dec. 28, or Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the Public Health Department office in Ellsworth for those unable to attend one of the clinics by calling 273-6755.

    School clinics have been rescheduled to take place during the month of December. Parents are instructed to watch for information coming out from their school district as to when and where their school clinic will be held.

    Parents are encouraged to bring their child/children to their school clinic for vaccine rather than the immunization clinics.
