Loretta I. Potter, 49, of Altoona, formerly of Cumberland, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born November 26, 1959, in Cumberland, Wis., to Harry and Esther (Hart) Littlepipe.
Loretta graduated from high school in Utah. She was married in Cumberland on Sept. 10, 1988, to Joseph Potter.
She is survived by her ex-husband, Joe Potter, Sr. of Spring Valley, Wis.; four children, Petter Cupp of Spring Valley, Nathan Viellieux of Cumberland, Joseph V. Potter of Turtle Lake and Cheyenne Potter of Cumberland; and one grandson, Collin Viellieux of Cumberland.
Feast services began at 11 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2009, at Maple Plain Tribal Center, led by Lee Staples. Burial was in Maple Plain Tribal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Nick Schulz, Stanley Cupp, Joe Long, Lenny Juarez, Mike Allis, Fred Shannahquet, William Rainey and Elmer Jay Emery.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland.
