Lunar eclipse holds Wisconsinite's gaze

If you didn't see last night's total lunar eclipse, you can still catch the highlights online.

The Green Bay Press Gazette's Web site has a series of nine time-released photos showing how the Earth's shadow was cast over the moon, creating a rusty effect at the peak of the eclipse.

Megan Pickett of Lawrence University in Appleton called it stunning.

It gave people a better view of Saturn, and the star of Regulus.

Pickett says the planets normally don't disappoint - and they certainly put on a show last night.

It was the last total lunar eclipse Wisconsinites will see until December of 2010. A total solar eclipse is set for this August, as well as a partial lunar eclipse.
