Maintenance projects get Ellsworth School Board approval
Major maintenance projects estimated to cost a total of between $55,075 and $61,675 were accepted by the Ellsworth School Board Monday.
Leading the list of 10 projects for the 2010-11 school year is a roof section of Prairie View Elementary School. Superintendent Barry Cain said officials plan to upgrade that roof in sections over 2-3 years.
The proposal calls for bidding out the largest of four sections for completion this summer, at an estimated cost of between $20,000 and $25,000. Because of a change in state law for projects priced at $25,000 or above, a plan may have to be developed and submitted, Cain said.
