Menomonie track and field teams dominate Fuller Invite
Both Menomonie track and field teams dominated the seven-team field at the Fuller Invitational Friday at Fuller-Symes Field in Ellsworth.
Both Mustang teams scored over 190 points to win the boys' and girls' meet titles with rainy and windy meet conditions early on.
Three Pierce County teams participated in the meet: Prescott, Elmwood/Plum City and the host school Ellsworth.
County individual event winners included EPC's Sarah Gilles in the 100-meter high hurdles in :16.92 seconds and the 300-meter low hurdles in :42.94; Ellsworth's Brett Freier in the 110-meter high hurdles in :15.66 and the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in :43.30 seconds; Prescott's Pat Ballosh in the 200-meter dash in :23.64; EPC's Jillian Holt in the pole vault with a height of seven feet, six inches; EPC's Mark Anderson in the pole vault at 10-6; Ellsworth's Olivia Helmer in the triple jump with a season-best leap of 32-10 and EPC's Levi Wolf won the triple jump with a mark of 41-10.
EPC's girls finished second while Ellsworth was third and Prescott fourth. Prescott's boys finished second with Ellsworth taking fourth and EPC fifth in the team standings.
