Minnesota man injured in motorcycle accident

A Minnesota man was taken to an area hospital Saturday morning when the motorcycle he was riding entered the ditch.

Richard O. Klatt, 56, Faribault, was operating his 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on 850th St. in the town of Trenton, when attempting to negotiate a curve, his motorcycle lost control on a patch of sand, according to Deputy Mike Vodinelich in a news release.

Klatt entered the east ditch of 850th St., where he came to rest. The accident happened around 11:15 a.m.

He was transported from the scene with undetermined injuries by Ellsworth Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing.
