MINNESOTA NEWS BRIEFS: Drought creeping up in Minnesota
Drought conditions in Minnesota have increased six percent over the past week.
The latest U.S. Drought Monitor shows abnormally dry conditions spreading further into southern Minnesota, and most of the state's increase is in that category. There's moderate drought in the Beltrami/Clearwater County area in northwest Minnesota. The state is in much better shape than in April when 92 percent of Minnesota was in some form of drought.
Words of scripture weren't the only thing police found in a Bible in Fargo. A Minnesota man was one of two people arrested on felony drug charges after police raided a home in Fargo and, among other things, discovered 24 hits of LSD hidden inside a Bible. 21-year-old Andrew Tapper of Sartell has been charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver within a thousand feet of a school, plus possession of drug paraphernalia. 19-year-old Connor Wondrasch of Fargo faces similar felony charges involving LSD.
