MINNESOTA NEWS BRIEFS: Drought creeping up in Minnesota

Drought conditions in Minnesota have increased six percent over the past week.

The latest U.S. Drought Monitor shows abnormally dry conditions spreading further into southern Minnesota, and most of the state's increase is in that category. There's moderate drought in the Beltrami/Clearwater County area in northwest Minnesota. The state is in much better shape than in April when 92 percent of Minnesota was in some form of drought.
