Wolves general manager Milt Newton will represent the team on stage. The Draft Lottery will be televised on ESPN beginning at 7 p.m. from the Disney/ABC Time Square Studios in New York City. Kevin Love over the weekend apparently made it clear that he's not interested in staying with the Minnesota Timberwolves beyond next season. ESPN reports that Love has informed the team that he intends to become an unrestricted free agent next summer and will not entertain the idea of a contract extension. The report says Love will not demand a trade, but his stance could force the Wolves' hand and cause them to make a deal before the February 2015 trade deadline. Love is reportedly interested in joining the Golden State Warriors or Chicago Bulls. The Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns are among teams that are reportedly interested in adding Love in the future.

We will know soon whether Super Bowl LI will be played in Minneapolis, Indianapolis or New Orleans. The Twin Cities Super Bowl committee will make its final 15-minute presentation to NFL owners today in Atlanta in their attempt to bring the NFL's title game to Minneapolis for just the second time. Key to the bid is the new stadium under construction now for the Vikings.

Yesterday the Minnesota Vikings signed two players that participated in this past weekend's rookie camp as veteran tryouts in linebackers Mike Zimmer and Dom DeCicco. To make room on the roster, the club has waived QB Travis Partridge and G Conor Boffeli. DeCicco signs with the Vikings as a free agent after spending time with the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. An undrafted free agent in 2011, DeCicco signed with the Bears after finishing his collegiate career at Pittsburgh. DeCicco appeared in 20 games with the Bears during the 2011-12 seasons and recorded 12 special teams tackles. He spent the 2013 training camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, appearing in 3 preseason games. Zimmer joins the Vikings after spending the 2013 training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Minnesota senior center Tommy Olson was named to the Rimington Trophy Committee's 2014 Spring Watch List, which includes 64 of the best centers in Division I football. The athletes included on the list have demonstrated excellence at the center position in the past and are predicted to do so again in the 2014-2015 season. Olson, who moved from guard to center prior to the 2013 season, started the final four games of last season after Jon Christenson suffered a season-ending injury. Olson excelled at the center position after being named the starter and ran with the first-team unit during Minnesota's recent spring practices. The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the Most Outstanding Center in NCAA Division I-A College Football.
