A rain/snow mix is moving its way through the Twin Cities and officials from both teams deicded it would be too wet and cold to play the game.
The game will be made up Thursday as part of a day-night doubleheader.
The Minnesota Timberwolves finish their season tonight with a home game against the Utah Jazz. Both teams are out of playoff contention, so the game isn't meaningful from a positional standpoint. It is Fan Appreciation Night for Timberwolves fans at the Target Center. Tonight's game is set for 7 p.m. in Minneapolis.
The Minnesota Wild and the Colorado Avalanche will open their NHL playoff series tomorrow night in Denver. Minnesota is the top Wild Card team in the Western Conference, while Colorado is the division champion. The Avs held a 3-1-and-1 record against Minnesota during the regular season. Tomorrow's opening faceoff is set for 8:30 p.m.
