MINNESOTA SPORTS ROUND-UP: WNBA Playoff schedule released
MINNEAPOLIS - The WNBA playoff schedule has been set for the Minnesota Lynx. Minnesota is the top seed in the Western Conference and will match up against Seattle in the opening round, which is a best-of-three series.
The Lynx open at home on Friday, September 20th; followed by a visit to Seattle on Sunday, September 22nd. If a game three is necessary, Minnesota would host that on Tuesday, September 24th. The Lynx close out their regular season tomorrow night by hosting Chicago.
The final regular season series between the Twins and Rays gets under way tonight at Target Field. The three-game set will feature three pitchers from Tampa Bay who have been hot of late. Tonight's Tampa starter is Chris Archer, while Minnesota counters with Kevin Correia. Both are right-handers. The series concludes a ten-game homestand for the Twins, who travel to Chicago on Monday.
