MINNESOTA SPORTS ROUNDUP: Freeman on his way to Minnesota in a one-year deal
MINNEAPOLIS -- Former Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman has a new home. Multiple media outlets report that Freeman will sign a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings. The deal is for a reported three-million dollars. Freeman was cut by Tampa Bay last week after a tumultuous season with the Bucs. The signing adds a 25-year-old former first-round draft choice to the crowded mix at quarterback for Minnesota. Christian Ponder started the season's first three games, losing all three.
